First Annual Etsy Halloween Roundup to Set You Up for the Holiday Right

PLEASE NOTE: This roundup was collected primarily with things that caught my eye, and I’d happily put in my own property. I did try to take a scroll through the shops’ reviews. I do not own any of these items nor have I purchased them. I do not receive a commission for recommending these items (as of Oct. 8, 2022). I am simply listing the cool things I’ve seen on Etsy this season. Please do your own due diligence when going forward with a purchase. Today’s Roundup is only meant to inspire you in your decorating endeavors.

Welcome to the first installment of what I hope to be a new series on this blog! I’ve collected an armful of goodies from Etsy to list in this roundup for 2022. All the items will be linked, and all credit goes to the individual creators. I had no hand in the creation of these things; I’m just sharing them with the world.

Traditional Outdoor Decor

Well, this is creepy, but I kind of love it. How oh-so very Halloween to have bare skeletons climbing up the side of your house like some kind of undead monster army coming for you and your family on All Hallow’s Eve.

Here’s the best part: They glow in the dark.

A haunty little doormat for your front porch. I love this little dare, especially if you have people coming over or on Halloween night.

WOWmats also has a bunch of other designs.

I like blow-up yard monsters as much as the next girl, but this one reminds me a whole of Danny Phantom. (If you didn’t watch this show as a kid, you missed out!)

That’s not a bad thing — In fact, I’m a huge fan of having inside jokes with myself. A normal person might think this is scary, but I think it’s a great way to introduce a little kid who’s afraid of Halloween to the fun side.

(This shop also has an adorable skeletal dog with a candy basket.)

Maybe this is just Etsy at Halloween, but I’m really here for these group decorations that aren’t terrifying. I get that Halloween is a trick OR treat, but I like these little decorations that can be a bit of both.

This ghost choir fits that bill perfectly, and I love their lit up faces. Now, all we need is a repeated soundtrack of the ghost choir from YouTube.

(#ADDmoment – If you like the ghost choir, in this video, they found a friend.)

These witches’ hats are so cute!

I know they’re witches’ hats, but all I want to do is have a party with margaritas. They’re so multi-coloured and adorable.

Definitely remember to check their sizing with the store if you order. It’ll matter for where you hang them.

Traditional Indoor Decor

Something wicked this way comes!

These candles just give me such Harry Potter vibes. I want them hanging from the ceiling. I might just add them to my reading corner this year.

They flicker, too!

For those looking for less Harry Potter-y options, these little ghosts are highly reviewed on GreyandCo.20‘s shop. I think they’re cute, and might be a great addition to a little kid’s room.

NOTE: This shop is based in the United Kingdom. If you are shipping to elsewhere, please take that distance into account.

Such adorable little candles to add to your collection!

I don’t know if these are scented, but if they’re not, they’re likely safer for animals (check with the shop). If you want a scent, you can diffuse an incense along with this candle.

Or you can join me in Bougee-Land and just let them sit on the table unburned for aesthetic.

If pumpkins aren’t your thing, MoskaDecor has lots of other lovely candles for sale!

These look so cool! They’re some kind of projection from a digital file download.

I’d love to see these working in person.

Stickers / Wall Decals

I found this quote in an Ipsy bag way back when, and it’s still a favourite.

In my defense, the moon was full and I was left unsupervised. It’s actually kind of perfect for Halloween…

The creep factor is up with this door decal sticker. Turn your front or bedroom door into a jail of skeletons. (The shop even says the textile allows for easy access to the doorknob, so you won’t have to worry about that.)

And if the skeletons are too much for you, this shop literally has pages of options for you.

Yard Pop-Ups

buy this from evergreensale

I saw one of these in real life for the first time today (not this specific one). They are really creepy and cool. I saw it during the day, but it was off-putting enough to set my dog off. I can’t imagine it at night, especially not with those eyes.

Silhouettes

I love these so much. As a separate set, you can set these cats together like this or set them up around your property. Just have one glaring in from a high window or from around a tree. Freaky.

buy this from MAACMetalCraft

Well, these are creepy.

The shop advertises them as “zombie children”, and they’re not wrong. To see these silhouettes with flickering candle or decoration lights behind them in the middle of the night would send me running. There’s a thought! Use these to scare young children off your lawn when you don’t want to participate in Trick-Or-Treating.

buy this from HanMadeDigs

(While technically not a silhouette, it’s going in this list because these can be used indoors or outdoors.)

These little bats come highly reviewed and with free shipping! There’s four sizes that you can choose from, including mix-and-match. I think these are such a simple way to add great pizzazz to your home, whether indoor or out.

Merch

Who doesn’t love a t-shirt? While I’m always happy to support a creator or shop who’s made something unique and special, I’m also a fan of this DIY version from WoodAndWalt. The shop sells the wording, which you then put on a t-shirt of your choosing.

The Sanderson sisters are getting a lot of love this year what with the second Hocus Pocus movie out on Disney+.

I’m such a fan of this sweatshirt. The posting gives you a lot of options for your order, like type of shirt and colour. They even have child and infant sizes!

This t-shirt makes me snicker. A guilty cat acting like nothing’s happened — if you own a cat, you know.

From what I can tell, this is a full t-shirt not just the decal to diy onto your own shirt. Even so, it’s relatively cheap in cost. I might buy it for myself!

Costuming

Etsy has some really tremendous artists and seamstresses, and this posting is no exception. This piece is a cosplay cloak for Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter series. Personally, I think it’s exquisite.

If you’ve got a Halloween party to go to this year, and you can rock McGonagall, look no further!

(If not McGonagall, do check out Etsy’s costuming/cosplay side. They are magnificent.)

Jewelry

For those who celebrate in simpler ways, here’s an adorable shop of handmade earrings. Their autumn and Halloween seasonal options are precious.

Household Bits

What better way to creep out your guests than to have a stray finger on your sink? This is soap from HowardsHome. Super cool, but that’s so creepy!

No Halloween season is complete without a spooky mug to drink warm apple cider from. This little black kitty one was too cute to pass up.

It also comes with the option of including a coaster with the matching image.

And if the kitty is not your style, the FriendlyMugsShop has a few other (cutesy) mug options.

buy this from 3Dkoupe

What an on-season collection of cookie-cutters! I appreciate that there could be pop culture references for all of them, but if that reference would be lost on your guests, you can just take Jack Skellington out.

This shop also has some singles available, as well as other seasons and styles available if these are not your cup of tea.

NOTE: The shop’s page says these are designed and produced in France. Please do your research as to whether they are shipped from there, and schedule any deliveries you may order accordingly.

Party-Throwing

Probably the simplest amongst this list, these bat straws are a great addition to a last-minute, low-key, or kids’ party. You could buy these, but they’re also very easy to make: Print out bats on a page, cut them out, and then hot-glue or tape them to the paper straws.

These can make really cute attendance gifts, too.
